The Pearl Jam bootleg boxed set "Halucinogenic Recpie" has a disc entitled "Eddie Vedder - Solo Home Demos." Unfortunately, what's really on the disc are not Eddie Vedder's solo demo recordings, but really poor copies of Bad Radio demo recordings with mislabeled song titles. While it's known that Eddie wrote and recorded his own material prior to joining Bad Radio, what's not known is what songs he wrote and recorded and when and where he recorded them. On his Bad Radio audition demo tape, Ed included the songs "Crossroads," "Believe You Me," and "Better Man." Dave G adds, "It also has a recording by The Cult called 'She Sells Sanctuary'. Not Eddie covering it, but the actual recording by The Cult. How's that for serious trivia?"

Though the songs "Street Funky Man" (a version of the Rolling Stones' "Street Fighting Man"), a cover of Bruce Springsteen's "One Step Up," and "Sick Of Pussies" have been included on many Bad Radio bootlegs, they were not actually recorded or performed by Bad Radio, and they're likely some of Eddie's solo recordings. The only "official" word said on this subject comes from Eddie himself, who indicated that at least one of the songs, "One Step Up," was recorded in a friend's studio in Chicago. "Being a Springsteen fan I asked him if he recorded "One Step Up" as a Bad Radio demo, and he said no, that he recorded that song for fun in Chicago in a friend´s studio." -- Ignasi Renom

If you have any more information on this subject, please email me.

Since the lyrical content of these songs can't be confirmed by Bad Radio (Eddie, are you out there reading this?), the following are the best possible lyrics we could decipher. The Springsteen lyrics are easily verifiable, but since the Stones "cover" seems to have different lyrics, they're both here for your comparison.
Special Thanks to Chris (allegate@jc.net) for the information about "Street Fighting Man."

1) One Step Up [Springsteen cover]
2) Street Funky Man
3) Street Fighting Man [Rolling Stones cover]
4) Sick Of Pussies

ONE STEP UP (Springsteen)

Woke up this morning, the house was cold
Checked the furnace she wasn't burning
Went out and hopped in my old Ford
Hit the engine but she ain't turning
Given each other some hard lessons lately
Be we ain't learning
We're same sad story, that's a fact
One step up and two steps back

Bird on a wire outside my motel room
But he ain't singing
Girl in white outside a church in June
But the church bells, they ain't ringing
I'm sitting here in this bar tonight
But all I'm thinking is
The same old story, same old act
One step up and two steps back

It's the same thing, night on night
Who's wrong, baby, who's right
Another fight and I slam the door on
Another battle in our dirty little war
When I look at myself I don't see
The man I wanted to be
Somewhere along the line I slipped off track
I'm caught, movin one step up and two steps back

There's a girl across the bar
I get the message she's sending
Mmm, she ain't looking too married
Me, well, honey, I'm pretending
Last night I dreamed I held you in my arms
The music was never ending
We danced as evening sky faded to black
One step up and two steps back (x2)

STREET FUNKY MAN (Jagger/Richards, as interpreted by Vedder)

3,4...
I said uh balls to the wall!
I said uh balls to the wall!

Everywhere I hear the sound of marching, charging feet, yea
Summer's here, the time is right for fighting in the street, oh
But what can a poor boy do?
Except to sing for a funky band
You don't have to tell me this ain't no place for a funky man, oh

Get up!

Hey, I said the time is right for palace revolution
--- --- popping stomping thier balloons, now
But what can a boy do?
Except to sing for a funky band
You ain't gonna tell me this is a place for a funky man, ohh

Funky!

Hey, hey, hey, hey, ohhhhh
Oooh, I gotta fuck it, fuck it, fuck it up
Fuck it, fuck it, fuck it up
I gotta fuck it, a-fuck it up
I gotta fuck it, fuck it, fuck it up
What the fuck is up, Robbie?
You know we movin
You know we movin, you know we groovin
[unintelligible]
Why do you fuck it, fuck it up?
Fuck it up!

No, no, no, you ain't nothin
I'm gonna make you one, I'm gonna make you one of those
I'm gonna make you one of these
Yea, yea, yea, yea, yea-yea-yo! (X4)

STREET FIGHTING MAN (Jagger/Richards)

Everywhere I hear the sound of marching, charging feet, oh boy
Cause summer's here, and the time is right for fighting in the street, oh boy
But what can a poor boy do
Except to sing for a rock n' roll band
'Cause in sleepy London town
There's just no place for a street fighting man
No

Hey! Think the time is right for a palace revolution
But where I live the game to play is compromise solution
Well, then what can a poor boy do
Except to sing for a rock n' roll band
'Cause in sleepy London town
There's no place for a street fighting man
No

Hey! Said my name is called disturbance
I'll shout and scream, I'll kill the king, I'll rail at all his servants
Well, what can a poor boy do
Except to sing for a rock n' roll band
'Cause in sleepy London town
There's no place for a street fighting man
No

SICK OF PUSSIES

Alright, here's a message for the pro-life pussies:
My body's nobody's body but mine
You run your own body, let me run mine

Jumbalama
I'm sick
Sick of pussies
Sick of pussies in my way
I'm sick
Sick of pussies
Sick of seein' pussies every day
Rich pussies
Pretty white pussies
Never seen a workin' day

I'm sick
Sick of pussies
Sick of pussies, sick with me

Fuck that pussy shit, yea

I am a workin' man
Got blood on my fingers
Got cracks in my hands
Gotta --- today, gotta pay to play
I'm sick of these pussies
Fuckin with me!
Fuck that pussy shit
Fuck that pussy shit
I'm sick
Sick of pussies
Sick of pussies in my way
I'm sick
Sick of pussies
Sick of seein' pussies every day
Rich pussies
Pretty white pussies
Never seen work before

I'm sick
Sick of pussies (x2)
Sick with me

Fuck that pussy shit
Fucka fucka fucka fucka fucka
Fuck that pussy shit
Let's fuck 'em
Just fuck 'em
Fuck that pussy shit....fuck 'em
Jam-a-lam-a-ding-dong
