This page will track new additions and corrections, as well as any
info on Bad Radio members and music.
9 September 2000: Thanks to Dave Silva, there are two new scans up on the Images page. One is of a flyer for a radio station contest, the other a poster for the Tower Records EP cassette. Also, a few tweaks to the sounds page, including two guitar tabs. Check 'em out!
30 August 2000: I uploaded two new Real Audio songs, "Homeless" and "I'm Alive, How's That?" and modified the sounds page accordingly. Sorry that Real Audio is all I can offer right now, but I'm working on more storage space....
28 August 2000: Today I added a new explanation for Eddie's handwritten lyric sheet for "Believe You Me." I also changed the sounds page, removing the links to now-defunct mp3 sites. My goal is to have MP3s for nearly all the Bad Radio songs hosted by me somewhere, so I don't have to rely on links to others. We'll have to see how that goes! I also made a few tweaks and corrections to the Eddie's Demos page, the Lyrics page, and the Q & Apage. I've copied and posted locally a great refence page which keeps moving locations called Bad Radio: Uncovering The Mystery. I haven't modified the info in any way except changing the coloring.
25 August 2000: Here we are, yet again, with nearly a year between updates and yet again moved to a new location! Hopefully this will be a little more permanent and easier for me to access. My other webspace was provided by Netcom, but in the years since my stuff has been hosted by them, they've been bought out by first MindSpring, then Earthlink. Unfortunately, during the changes, they went to a completely FTP-based system for modiyfing files there, so it was an increible pain to update anything. So, hopefully Fanspace won't change on me and I'll stay here for a while.
There have been a ton of emails since my last update, mostly alerting me that the mp3 links were down and the links page was out of date. I obviously haven't corrected them yet, but I'm working on it. I'm hoping to host myself mp3s of all the known Bad Radio demos as well as some of the Eddie solo demos.
There are a lot of other updates to be made to the site...don't expect a drastic overhaul, but there are a lot of changes in the works.
16 September 1999: Some more new additions. This time, I've added a links page. As of now, it's pretty weak, but I'll add to it as I come across better sites. I added in some additional info to the band page about Keith Wood, courtesy Raylene Bauldoff (rayekaye@uswest.net). I also made some small changes to the navigation bar...nothing too cosmic.
2 September 1999: Yet again it's been a long time between updates! This time it's more sound files maintenance. The files that were linked previously on the sounds page went away, resulting in some nasty email to me from the owner of that website! This time, there are two sites I have direct links to where you can find MP3 files to download. I've also put navigation bars at the bottom of each page to make things a little easier to browse.
I'm also searching for Bad Radio LINKS! If anyone has any, please send them to me at strega1@ix.netcom.com.
9 January 1999: Since a lot of people have asked about BR bootlegs and such, I scoured the internet and found some RealAudio and MP3 files. Though, I haven't found much so far, they're all linked on the new sounds page.
10 December 1998: Holy Cow! Has it really been almost a YEAR since I've updated this thing?! I'll bet you all thought I was REALLY dead and gone this time! Well, that's not quite true. I went through a major career change as well as a move across the country over the last year, so I haven't been putting much attention into this site. I know you're still looking, though, because I get so many great emails from you. Sorry it's taken so long, but unfortunately you can expect not too much on this site anytime soon as I just don't have the time to keep up with it. It's NOT going to die or be removed, but it's just not going to receive much in the way of updates.
Oh, yes, you'll notice the new look that I gave the site. Not really much new except for some new graphics I whipped up. I remember talking to Dave G a while back and he said he wished I'd go back to the original black background of this site because it "looked cooler." Well, Dave, here it is. Hope you all like it!
I also added a correction to the page about Ed's demo tape and the song "Street Funky Man." It turns out that this mysterious and HARD TO UNDERSTAND song is a version of the Rolling Stones' "Street Fighting Man." A gentleman named Chris (allegate@jc.net) pointed this out to me back in November. So, the Eddie's Demos? page has been updated to reflect this info. Thanks, again, Chris!
3 January 1998: HAPPY NEW YEAR!! Added a new
version of the "From Then 'Til Now" bootleg to the bootlegs
page.
16 November 1997: We know you all thought we were dead, but we're not!
There's just not a whole lot of new news on the band or on this site.
A month or so ago, some of the band members were attempting to make the
Bad Radio demo tapes available commercially. This effort was halted
due to the fact that not all of the band members were in agreement on
doing it! So, for now, it looks like we won't be seeing BR at our
local Tower Records store anytime soon.
6 September 1997: Added the "How's That?" CD to the bootlegs
page -- thanks to Brian (I don't know your last name) for this information!
15 August 1997: The new "Crossroads" Bad Radio website
takes flight at it's new location. Though individual changes to
the pages are too numerous to list, the "makeover" was basically just
a facelift -- the content is the same. Look for upcoming changes.
2 August 1997: Added a cool new scan of Eddie's original
handwritten lyrics to "Believe You Me" to the Images page. Also
made a few more small changes today to the bootleg page, the
lyrics page, and the Eddie demo page.
This website is probably moving to a new server in the near
future -- we currently share space with the "Alive" Eddie Vedder
website, and it's kinda crowded on here with two
active (and growing!) websites on the same account. As of now,
I don't know where the new home will be, but stay tuned.
Word from Dave Silva is that his current band, My Head is
hard at work rehearsing for a new album.
29 July 1997: Minor additions and tweaks to the main
page, the band page, and the bootleg page.
27 July 1997: Added new, albeit poor, scan of the
"Eddie Vedder - Solo Home Demos" CD bootleg to the
bootlegs page.
17 July 1997: Subtle modification to the
"Images" page, removing the large scan
of the casette insert in favor of some smaller thumbnail images.
9 July 1997: The lyric page and the bootleg page were
revised to reflect the fact that three songs originally thought
to be Bad Radio songs weren't. It's suspected that "One Step Up,"
"Sick Of Pussies," and "Street Funky Man" were actually Eddie solo
demos. Also, created a new page to explore
Eddie's solo demo and contain those lyrics. Added two additional
Pearl Jam CD bootleg listings which have some of the Bad Radio
demo songs on them to the bootlegs page.
29 June 1997: Minor tweaking. Replaced text on main page
with band logo banner. Fixed some errant HTML code to make the
pages optimized for Netscape Communicator and Microsoft Internet
Explorer.
27 June 1997: "Images" page finally created, and link added
to main page. Uploaded scan of original demo casette j-card which
appears on "Images" page (thanks Dave G.!!!). This "What's New?" page
added and linked to the main page. Narrative on main page changed
to reflect that bad didn't actually break up, per se, in '89, only
the version with Eddie in it did. Added an answer to question 12 on "Q & A"
page, provided again by Dave George.
